What is Armoury Crate? Do I Need it on my ASUS Gaming PC?

Read here what is the Armoury Crate app that comes pre-installed on ASUS laptops, what it does, and whether you need it or not on your PC.

What is it? Armoury Crate is an app that comes pre-installed by default on ASUS ROG/TUF Gaming laptops or desktops. It allows users to control and adjust many software and hardware settings since Armoury Crate is directly linked to the PC’s hardware components.

You don’t need Armoury Crate on your PC since it is only an optional app developed by ASUS; thus, it is not essential for your PC. But if you are not an advanced user, I suggest you keep it since it allows you to monitor and adjust many hardware settings requiring a certain knowledge level.

If you are still trying to decide whether you need Armoury Crate or not, keep reading to know exactly what it does and what alternatives you have in case you want to uninstall it.

Conclusion

Armoury Crate is an app that comes pre-installed on ASUS Laptops. It allows you to monitor and adjust hardware settings, lighting effects, and other functions.

Since it is not an essential app for your laptop, it is ok to uninstall it; however, you might want to keep it as it provides a few useful functions but is not usually accessible to non-advanced users.
